By using the Chess.PhD: Puzzles & Tactics app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our app.

What Chess Puzzles & Tactics Master Does

It is a chess puzzle training app that helps you improve your tactical skills through:
- Millions of chess puzzles with ELO ratings
- Progress tracking and statistics
- Puzzle themes and difficulty levels
- Stockfish engine analysis and hints

Your Account

- We use anonymous authentication - no personal info required
- Your progress is saved to your device and our servers
- You're responsible for keeping your device secure
- Data may be lost if you delete the app

What You Can Do
  • Solve puzzles and track your progress
  • Use all app features for personal enjoyment
  • Share your achievements

What You Can't Do
  • Cheat or use automated tools to solve puzzles
  • Try to hack or break the app
  • Use the app for anything illegal
  • Reverse engineer our code

Important Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" - we can't guarantee:
- Perfect uptime or no bugs
- That you'll improve at chess
- No data loss or device issues

Our liability is limited - we're not responsible for:
- Indirect damages or losses
- Time spent using the app
- Issues with your device

Your Data & Privacy
- We collect minimal data to make the app work

- We use Firebase (Google) and Amplitude for essential services

Service Changes
- We may update the app and these terms anytime
- Continued use means you accept changes
- We'll notify you of major changes

Age Requirements
- Suitable for all ages
- Kids under 13 should have parent permission
- Parents are responsible for children's use

Termination
- You can stop using the app anytime
- We can suspend access if you break these terms
- Some data may be kept per our Privacy Policy


Subscriptions
The App offers optional auto-renewing subscription plans that provide access to premium features. By purchasing a subscription, you agree that it will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.


Billing & Renewal
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off in your Apple ID account settings. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period at the price shown in the App.


Managing Your Subscription
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.


Free Trials
If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. If you do not cancel the trial at least 24 hours before it ends, it will convert into a paid subscription automatically.


Refunds
All payments and refunds are handled by the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.


Changes to Pricing or Plans
We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing or features at any time. If pricing changes, you will be notified by Apple before the next renewal and will have the option to cancel before being charged.


License to Premium Features
While your subscription is active, we grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the premium features included in your chosen plan. If your subscription lapses, these features will become unavailable.

Third-Party Services
We use these services to make Chessly work:
- **Firebase** (Google) - user accounts and data
- **Amplitude** - usage analytics
- **Stockfish** - chess engine analysis

You must follow their terms too.
